The OPC server for Infranet / Alarmnet enables any Windows programme to access the communication network Infranet of Ascom as OPC client. With this, it is also possible to connect Windows systems to the Swiss alerting network Alarmnet of the TUS (telecommunication and security). The Windows computer can be used both as receiving station (control station) and as alarm device (sender).

Infranet / Alarmnet is a sophisticated transmission system for alerts, events and switching commands. Signal transmission via Infranet / Alarmnet is not affected by normal utilisation of the telephone extension for telephone calls. Today, Infranet / Alarmnet is used for alerting in case of fire, burglary or raid, but it is also increasingly utilised in the technical sector.
