Embedded connectivity

Driven by the convergence of technologies in the field of information and communication technology (ICT), integration also became the central topic with embedded systems. Today, embedded systems are no longer separated, but networked with various other systems.

Despite great standardisation efforts, there are different technologies available for integration (e.g. OPC, XML, SOAP, SQL). For the integration, remotely arranged embedded systems must work like a single total system.
