Production Just-In-Time

The production just-in-time means that a product is manufactured based on a customer’s order right to time of delivery. The intelligent and automated manufacturing plant guarantees that such an individual piece can be manufactured at the same costs like a series (production with lot size one).

The advantages of production just-in-time are enormous. Even with a huge variety of variants and relatively high manufacturing costs, e.g. with manufacturing pf precision parts, this manufacturing method saves a lot of money. As manufacturing is only carried out on the basis of orders, capital is not tied up in stock of inventory. Moreover, manufacturing times can be shortened, and thus customer satisfaction can be increased.
